Parents/Guardians:  Please be diligent in arriving to pick up your children immediately following after-school rehearsals.  For obvious reasons, we do not like to see students waiting unreasonable lengths of time for transportation home after rehearsals.

We take this opportunity to remind parents to send only nut-free snacks to After-school Band and Orchestra rehearsals. We ask that you instruct your children not to use the vending machines at this time as well, as most machines do contain some sort of nut product.

We have several students in our Program who have a severe allergy to nuts. Individuals who have this type of allergy may suffer serious, even fatal reactions when exposed to nut products. In some cases, it is not even necessary that nuts be ingested to induce a negative response; merely having skin contact with remnants of nut products (from a chair, door handle or music stand, for example) can be enough to trigger a severe physical reaction.

We appreciate your effort in helping to ensure the safety of all students in our Program. Thank you for your support on this issue.
